Let me take this opportunity to give you the low-down with how CONSIGNMENT works here at Chic Boutique Consignments.
First up, let's talk how consignment works. Each store has their own clientele with their own taste, what they are shopping for, price range, etc. Finding the right consignment store for you (and your goods) is key to a successful consignment experience. Make sure to do your research to see which store best fits your closet. What good would it do to drop off your Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Mother jeans at a store with a large pre-teen customer base looking for thrift finds? Not exactly the vibe that will shell out the dough for these designer duds. Same with customers that are just not familiar with name brands such as For Love & Lemons, DVF, Helmut Lang, Lululemon and Theory - so finding the right store is KEY in consignment.
Chic Boutique Consignments prides ourselves in knowing top-notch and trendy upscale brands, with a clientele eager to scoop them up at a drop of a hat. We know the importance of keeping up with constantly ever-changing fashion, and have our market-research techniques down to a science when it comes to fair and reasonable pricing for each piece that walks through our door. Brands that we find sold best for us throughout 2022 were Lululemon, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, AGOLDE, Free People, Rag & Bone, FreeBird, Revolve Brands & of course Tiffany & Co.
You're going to want to check out our CONSIGNMENT page which will lay it down straight for you - a list of brands that sell well with us (to get ya going), a list of "no thank you" brands (leave those typical mall brands at home), as well as our contract (so you know the nitty gritty). We also take in items by season, so be sure to check HERE before heading in. Next up, you will want to make sure all your clothing is freshly laundered and not missing any buttons, have stains, tears, etc - make sure to check collars for makeup, and wipe down all footwear to keep them looking as fresh as possible. Make sure to clean out, and clean up all bags and wallets to get the best bang for your designer goods.
